Professional Pictures!
We were blessed that a friend, Alison Janki, was able to take newborn pictures of Truman. Alison and I used to work together , as she taught kindergarten (at the school I teach at) when I first started. She did an AMAZING job taking pictures of Truman, these are just a few. To see more of her amazing work, be sure to check out her blog and website.

Stressed
What to say? I am stressed. Stressed about selling our home. Stressed about getting our new home ready, stressed. A thousand pounds of it on my shoulders.
I've been sick since Thursday. At first I thought it was stress, but now I am thinking I really might have a bug. Finally able to eat a small amount of food today, thankfully. However, being sick led to us not getting as much done at the new house this weekend as I envisioned.
Stressed about the boys. Summy hasn't been doing art projects at daycare at all unless they involve coloring. He won't have a thing to do with paint, glue, or anything messy. I am trying not to worry. I am trying not to tie this to possible sensory issues, which he has always sorta had.
Work is stressing me out. What my job looks like next year might change. Who I work with will as well.
I try not to stress, but I am a worrier by nature. The only thing that keeps me from not stressing is remembering how lucky I am to have this:

Pictures, a party, and almost two!
Today we celebrated the boys' 2nd birthday with an elmo-themed party! We had a lot of fun even though Summy wasn't feeling his best. However, 20 people crammed in our house made us even more thankful we will soon be moving. I'll post pictures tomorrow, on their actual birthday.
Leah also posted these lovely sneek peeks of the boys' 2 year photo session:

I cannot believe tomorrow is almost here. How are my little guys almost 2 years old? Time moves by so quickly.

busy busy busy!
So this weekend was a blur with packing, throwing away things, and general cleaning up. We might just fill an entire garbage truck on our own when it is all said and done. We managed to go through everything we had in the garage, and empty it so we can fill it with packed boxes. This evening and every night this week we will get to enjoy that! I also managed to full 6 lawn and leaf bags while working in the yard this afternoon!
We're gearing up for the boys turning two on Sunday. I cannot believe that in a week, my babies will be two year olds! I am starting to miss babyhood so much, I wish we could afford to have another right now. Somewhere down the line we will, and I can't wait for that day. Every day with the boys is a treasure. We're having their party on Saturday.
We decided to hold off another week on listing the house. We simply aren't ready yet. The thought of it overwhelms me, but I know we got a ton done today and that makes me feel thankful. And tired.
The results of the boys NICU assessment should be here soon, and I am anxious to see if they have come close to "catching up." I know they never really will "catch up" but I am also hoping that the results are positive.
Jack's surgery is at 9:00 on Tuesday so please say a prayer for him. I am looking forward to seeing how quickly he changes once he has full hearing capabilities.
Lastly, this weekend we had the opportunity to take pictures with Leah, an amazing photographer who also took pictures of us last September. This picture is from that session.

I can't wait to see how they turned out. We had a great time at the Franklin Park Conservatory with her. Be sure to head over to her website and check out her work.

We were in the news today!
Besides being in the news for a snow day today...woo hoo!... we were in a news story in the dispatch today. Here's a link to the article:
http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/life/stories/2008/02/12/1_PUSH_PRESENTS.ART_ART_02-12-08_D1_5S99SN9.html?sid=101
And here we are from the story!

From the article:
In the spring, the husband of Meghan A gave her a $200 necklace bearing one opal and two amethysts.
The twin sons of the Westerville couple were born eight weeks early and spent almost a month in the hospital.
With her children's health the ultimate gift, she said, she considered his gesture a nice surprise.
"I think my husband felt a little sorry for me," said the elementary-school music teacher, 29. "It wasn't like 'Oh, I need a present.' But he did a good job."

Pictures on the web!
Our latest session with Rachel is loaded! Go to Rachel's website at (www.finelinesphotography.com) and under "your session" the password is twins.
We had a realy fun visit with Papa, Mamaw, Sherry, Peggy, and Charles yesterday! I got a chance to go with the girls to Nicole's baby shower for A.J. (only 5 more weeks until he's due!) and the babies stayed home and visited with Papa.
We were SHOCKED today when we got out the jumperoo and put it together. We'd thought it would be great for Jack because he loves to stand, whereas Summy refuses to put weight on his legs. Jack liked it and stood in it, but got frustrated when he couldn't figure out how to get it to "go" by jumping. We assumed Summy would kinda be a lump in it. SILLY US! We put Summy in and he jumped for 30 minutes CONTINUOUSLY! LOL! We totally guessed wrong...he loved it! And we took hime out and 5 minutes later he fell asleep!
I forgot to share that Summy is now rolling back to belly, (Jack rolls *everywhere*) and both are doing much better lifting their heads. Our first official therapy visit is on Wednesday.

So long since I've posted

Sorry to have been gone so long! The boys came home 1 month to the day from when they were born...and are now 6 1/2 weeks, and have been home for 2 1/2. Everything's crazy and we are running on SO little sleep. We're mainly working on gaining...and while Summy's getting the hang of it, Jack's still struggling a little. Sumner's nearing 7 lbs and Jack's nearing 6 1/2.
Today Rachel came to the house to take pics, and she gave us a sneek peak of 10. They are fabulous. I can't wait to see them all!
