8 months old

I know what you are thinking...first off, where did I go? Second, Truman will be 9 months old in 2 days!

So....the power surged, went off, and came back on...but our computer never did again. It took a while but we have a new computer now and are in the process of transferring everything over. (We didn't lose anything.) I am definitely backlogged on pictures and I apologize.

Truman started really crawling just before he turned 8 months, and even pulled up at Nana and Papa's house on vacation. It was super exciting! These pictures really show how feisty he can be, and ornery. I know one is super blurry, but that's because he moves so fast! Happy 8 months Truman!

So behind on pictures! 7 months

Sorry to be so behind on pictures! Truman is still a super happy, super laid back guy! He could sit starting a few weeks ago, just prior to his 7 month birthday, when propped. Here's a picture, and then an idea of how much he LOVES to get into everything!

6 months old!

Truman is 6 months old today.

It seems so hard to believe. Where has the time gone? Gone is the newborn who was so needy and instead is a little determined man who has a million places to go and things to do. Rolling over? Check. Hands and feet in the mouth? Check! Truman can now get all over the room with a mix of head pushing/scooting, rolling and kicking with his legs. He loves toys, particularly a spinning one that plays music. He loves his taggie. He can pick his paci up off a table and can take it from your hands. He loves to grab my face, hair...anbd he does this silly thing where he scrunches his hands in and out in and out. He loves to be tickled and laughs all the time. He adores his brothers. He is just SO grown up!

Tonight he tries food for the first time...Jack and Summy can't wait to feed him. Wish us luck!

5 months old

Truman was 5 months old Sunday. I cannot believe how big he is, how sweet, how...un-baby he has become already. How did that happen so fast? He loves to laugh and loves to be tickled, to play peek-a-boo and to watch his brothers with an amazement I have never seen. In his eyes the reflection of them is perfect. He loves them so much it surprises me.

He has found his feet and loves to hold them. He constantly has his hand or fingers in his mouth. He loves to verbalize. He weighed 15.15 pounds when I weighed him a week ago.

He still loves the bouncy seat on vibrate to fall asleep. He sleeps well through the night and takes lots of naps during the day. He's nursing really well now, and he's already moving up another diaper size. I cannot believe how fast he is moving through clothing sizes!

He is a light in our lives and a great kid.

At first I tried to take pictures, and this is what was happening:

Then I was able to wake him up and get this:

And pretty soon someone else wanted in on it too, so I got this:

3 months!

This is long overdue, but here is Truman's 3 month picture!

Truman is 2 months old!

Truman is 2 months old today, and has started to really come out of the "sleepy newborn" phase. Don't get me wrong, he still sleeps all.the.time, he just has some more interaction/awake time, mostly from about 6-9 p.m.

We saw some smiles and heard some laughs in his sleep over the last week or two, but have seen genuine smiles at us in the last few days. Today Truey grinned at Jack while he was talking to him, smiled at me when I tickled him, and I am predicting he will be a daddy's boy because he smiles at David all the time. We've heard a few coos as well, but he still loves to grunt.

Everyone tells me he is a "peanut," which drives me nuts because I am so sensitive to his weight because of the boys being preemies and having all those issues gaining. However, he's been doing great on weight gain. I'd estimate he is almost 10 pounds at the pediatrician next Monday.

I look at the picture from a month ago and I am shocked by how much he has grown! So far, he is the most laid back member of our household by far, and I am hoping it stays that way!

1 month old

Friday the 13th was lucky for Truman because he turned 1 month old! Our appointment at the pediatrician went well, and we found out Truman's growing great. He weighed 7 pounds at birth, had dropped at 6 lbs 6 oz in the hospital, was 6 lbs 10 oz at our followup pedi appointment, and was 7 lbs 10 oz at his month appointment. She was very pleased with a pound in 3 weeks. She told us (me) that we could start relaxing on waking Truman to eat all the time. I enjoyed sleeping 6 hours straight last night! I feel a ton better because of it! Truman's been struggling with breastfeeding and our pediatrician told me it probably is because he's not hungry every 3 hours, and we need to wait longer. Sure enough, she was right, and already he nursed better last evening than the whole month combined!

I continue to be a dairy farm and have been working hard to keep my crazy milk supply in check. I've had mastitis once and thrush once, so hoping to keep the ta tas reigned in and calmed down. After feeding Truman, I'm pumping between 24-30 oz a day. I plan to donate to the milk bank again, like I did with the boys.

Look for year in review pics of the boys and an update on me soon! Happy 1 month, Truman!

Elmo themed birthday party pictures

The boys had an Elmo theme for their second birthday. I didn't make their cake this year, I bought it from Kroger, but I was so pleased with how it turned out. We had about 20 people show up to celebrate, and many who sent well-wishes from afar. The boys had a good time, and got lots of wonderful things. We had a great time, and it was nice to make a memory in a house we love, and will miss dearly.

23 months, as always, late

Life has been crazy for us. Without getting into too many details, we've been offering and counter-offering on a new house. Here they are, 23 months old. Sumner's teary because he wasn't willing to let go of his bus for his picture. Jack, of course, wasn't willing to part with his phone either.

Second therapy session is tonight.

22 months with pictures

Sorry it took so long! My favorite quote from Summy in his highchair today: "I love fries!"
