in 2006 I started this blog both as a way to document my struggles with infertility and my pregnancy with what I thought was one baby. Now, 5 years later, this has become a place where I can talk about infertility, (again!) special needs and sensory processing disorder, preemies....and a new pregnancy.

Thank you for reading, for commenting, for everything. It never ceases to amaze me what a support system I have in people I have never met, except for online.

Here's to 5 more wonderful years of blogging! As I type this, I am listening to the music in the sidebar, "The luckiest." I truly am lucky to have you here for the ride.

Blogging Goals for 2011

I am posting these to be more accountable. The following are my blogging goals for 2011:

1. To become more connected to other bloggers. I vow to comment more, read more, and try to connect to others, particularly other SPD bloggers and moms.

2. To hit 100,000 on that page view bar down there!

3. To blog more about SPD

4. To start writing a book about my experiences.

5. To get 100 followers. Heck, possibly even 200 if I set my bar really high.

4 year blogaversary!

I cannot believe that 4 years ago today I started writing this blog to capture my pregnancy with what I thought was a single baby. Little did I know, four years later, I would have two beautiful twin boys, would become an expert on sensory processing disorder, would be hoping for a third child, and would have so much joy in my life. I feel blessed to have this place to talk about what scares me and what makes me joyful as a parent. I am thankful to have people who might find one bit of hope, solace, or comfort from the journey we are taking. I cannot wait to see what the next year of blogging holds for me...I have big plans! Thanks for always supporting my boys and cheering them on their road to becoming the great kids they are. This picture from the beach was my favorite from this year, in what is quickly becoming a tradition of beach pictures. This picture is what this blog is all about: learning about the world through the eyes of my boys. Thanks for sharing that with me.

Blogaversary!

Today is my three year blogaversary! It is so hard to believe I started this blog 3 years ago to chronicle the journey of pregnancy after infertility. Ironically enough, I named it The Adventures of Taderbaby because I thought we were only having one. Little did I know what was in store for me!

Over the years, this blog has evolved. At first, it was to document pregnancy milestones. Then, when the pregnancy and delivery got rough, we updated family and friends about the boys' NICU stay through the blog. As they have gotten older, this blog has been my outlet to share pictures, thoughts on preemies and motherhood, my twins' diganosis and treatment for sensory processing disorder and other developmental delays, and the joys of raising my two boys and growing as a woman and a writer. I never envisioned that this place would become such an outlet for me, and allow me to meet so many wonderful people.

As I look forward, I hope that the next year of blogging brings even more joy, and even more ability to share the heartache. I hope I meet even more wonderful people and others can benefit from what I have to say.

So, dear "internets," (as my friend Julie says) I ask one thing on this blogaversary. What is your favorite post so far to date? I plan to revamp the blog layout, and with your help, I'd like to highlight the most informative, funny, and thought provoking posts I have written to date. (If there are any, ha!)
