There I went, falling off the face of the earth again!

Where have I gone?!?

I have 2 more days of school with students left. This is always a particularly busy time of year for me with lots of concerts and musicals, but add to it a baby sister and cousin graduating from high school within one week of each other, and the move, and you've got a busy lady! We've got a lot going on here too because we're really starting to feel settled it and every day I pinch myself that we live in this awesome house. We feel so lucky to have such a nice big yard, driveway, a nice neighborhood to walk in each night, and awesome nearby parks. I am so looking forward to the summer! The boys are so much fun and every day seems to fly by! The boys have a full scale assessment on Thursday with our new MRDD coordinators here in this county. We've had a bit of lapse in our services but hope to be up and running with them soon. In the meantime, here's what the boys have been up to:

The long awaited, and much promised, picture post!

This has been an awesome weekend. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it was. We had such a fun weekend and for the first time to me, this place started to feel like home.

Friday I was up till 12:30 bustin' it to get the house ready! Yesterday we had a garage sale and made decent money, and then last night had an amazing housewarming party (part of which was a present from our realtor, thank you Wendy!) 50-60 of our friends came out and the house was FULL! (And the yard had kids playing soccer, and swinging and having fun!) I am continually amazed by our fabulous family and friends. We are really lucky to have them, and such an awesome house! Everyone loved it and the neighborhood kids *might* have finally decided it will no longer be called "the scary house."

Today was a day of rest. We napped. (glorious!) We played. We ate leftovers. (Have tons!) And the babies went to the pet store and picked out their first pet, a red beta fish. He's currently "sleeping" in their room. Jack read him goodnight moon before bed and Summy whispered "goodnight fish" before he went to bed.

On the way home from the pet store, right before dinner, we saw the ice cream truck was at the corner. Now my childhood sadly lacked the ice cream truck due to an ordinance passed in my city banning them after a child was killed running into the street to get ice cream. I must admit I am super excited every time I hear the music playing a street away. Before tonight we just danced with the babies and told them it was a "music truck" (for fear we'd actually have to buy ice cream every time) but tonight we walked down, stood in line, and Summy took 2.00 and gave it to the man in the truck (and then cried b/c he didn't "get it") and got 2 Jr. Rocket pops. One for him, one for Jack. Jack quickly exclaimed "big suckers!" The pictures show what ensued. Enjoy. I know I did. Summer is officially almost here!

Love the one David took of Jack kissing me. Here it is again in black and white. Not sure which I like better...

#2!!!

Well. it's 11:50 pm and we've just finished up about as much as we're going to get done before tomorrow's garage sale/housewarming party-o-rama. I'm beat! Just wanted to tell you...

THANK YOU! Thanks to you we won 2nd place in the multiples and more cutest multiples photo contest. I get a beautiful necklace, a 5x5 photobook, and mabel's labels for the boys. Couldn't be happier!!

I really do plan to upload pictures this weekend. Now that the house feels semi-under-control, I'll work on it. Snapped a few of the boys zoning out to their favorite video, "Elmocize" yesterday. Maybe I'll post some of the house too?? We're expecting about 50+ people tomorrow so I am praying for no rain!!!

Last night I free handed a mural in the guest bedroom and painted a first coat, and did a 2nd coat tonight. It looks awesome. I am really proud of my mad painting skills.

Off to bed!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy mothers day to all the moms of multiples and mothers out there! Today was a really lovely day for me: the boys woke me up with cards, my husband made a lovely breakfast, and we spent the morning and early afternoon at the zoo. Then, I got a nap! Best mother's day ever! My husband and the boys got me a beautiful hanging basket as a gift.

Summy continues to crack us up with the things he says. Today at the zoo he called the leopard a "circle Humphrey" (Humphrey is our orange tabby) and he was super excited about the carousel at the zoo because he is obsessed with fans and things that spin. However, when he got on to ride he started crying and said he "was scared." I hope he's not a scaredy-cat about rides like me!

Jack has become a little bossy. He loves to tell Summy "no throw food SUMNER." and "No screaming SUMNER!" He always calls him "Sumner" when he reprimands him, which is hilarious. Our new house is fairly close to railroad tracks so we can hear the train whistle. When is toots, Jack says "no screaming, train!"

Our daycare situation that I alluded to last week and asked for prayers for has been resolved. They had decided to try splitting the boys up into different classes because Summy was having an issue with another boy in his class. After a trial run we felt it wasn't working and they moved him back. I'd love ideas from the twin moms out there who read my blog: how you you feel about separating your twins in class?

We have one more day of voting in the cutest multiples contest the boys are in. If you haven't already, please vote! We keep moving between 2nd and 3rd place. Thank you to everyone for passing the word around! The link to vote is: http://multiplesandmore.blogspot.com and voting is in the left sidebar, the boys are #6. Thanks for all your support!
