Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Safe travels!

Crazy time!!

One of these is blurry, but the look on Sum's face was priceless!

9 Month Pictures!

David found the battery charger last night, 1.222222 minutes before we were going to leave and go buy another one. Hooray! These pictures are *hilarious.* Now that we are 9 months old, we can't be contained! I'll post a normal set, and then a "crazy" set.

Sittin' Pretty!

I promise our hilarious 9 month pictures are coming...I lost my battery charger and we are buying a new one tonight...then I can upload.

Jackson sat for the first time on his own on Moday! Go Jack!

We're going to Dayton tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with David's family. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there.

Sunday we took our nine month pictures with Rachel. Can't wait to see how they turned out. I'm honestly stalking her blog hoping she'll post a peek.

9 Month Stats

Pictures are coming, I promise....

Here are stats from our last appt. Dr. K was pleased with their weight gain, the have "caught back up" and made up for the two months of minimal growth. Summy's gotten really tall too. Here's the stats:

Jackson:
- 13lbs 12oz (0th percentile)
- 27.5 inches tall (25th percentile)
- 17.75 head (40th percentile)

Sumner:
- 15lbs 13oz (1st percentile)
- 28.5 inches tall (52nd percentile)
- 18.25 head (70th percentile) hello big head!

The percentiles above are for chronological age! We're going to have some tall boys!

9 Months old!!!

Yesterday was the babies' nine-month-birthday! I can't believe they are 9 months old already! Time flies!

Yesterday was also our NICU developmental asesssment/followup. They said:

-Jack was ahead on fine motor/cognitive and almost to chronological age
-Jack was behind in gross motor because he is not sitting. He does, however, stand. He needs to work on upper body strength. (We do exercises)
-Jack was slightly ahead in speech (he says mama!)

-Sumner was right on for cognitive/fine motor
-Sumner is sitting, but was bgehind slightly in gross motor because he refuses to stand/bear weight on his legs. He needs to work on lower body strength (we do exercises)
-He is right on for speech (his current hialrous thing he does is bark/howl like Miss M's dog!)

I'll post 9m pictures tongiht!

News from the tader babies!

We had a wonderful Halloween, and I promise to post pictures. Jack was a hot dog and Summy was a dragon. Here's what's been going on with us:

The occupational therapist came to our house last night, and assessed Sumner as being on-track developmentally for his adjusted age, which is good news. She gave us exercises to do with Jack because he has no arm and upper body strength...hopefully these will lead to his eventual sitting. Sumner continues to sit for a few seconds at a time. Our full-scale evaluation is one week from today, on their 9 month birthday.

Sumner has been on a nursing strike since Saturday, but we saw him come around a little yesterday, and I am hoping the end will be near. From reading about nursing strikes on the Internet, I found they can precede developmental milestones, teething, or be a result in a change in routine. I am trying to keep my milk supply up in the meantime.

Hope all is well with you!
