Seeing babies kick from the outside!

We had a wonderful Christmas, and really it was a bit nostalgic...we keep talking about how different next year will be with the babies! I think New Year's will be more of the same...next year is going to bring about a new chapter in our lives...

I was so excited yesterday that I saw the babies kick and move my shirt for the first time. They're really active, but their kicks and punches are definitely getting stronger. It was really cool to see!

Our next doctor's appt. is January 2nd, I'll probably go alone as David really needs to save time for when the babies come.

3D pictures!

Here they are! The first is baby A. It kind of scares me a little...The second one is an amazing picture of baby A's face.
Baby B! Baby B is our shy guy. He was in the fetal position, and we didn't get the best face view in the second picture, mainly the ear, and side of his head!

Baby Boy poem

It's 3am they're all asleep and no one's here to see
As we rock slowly back and forth My Baby Boy and Me.
His little head is feather light tucked up against my chin
I hold his tiny hand in mine and stroke his baby skin.
The house about us creaks and groans the clock hands creep around
He snuggles closer to me still and makes his baby sounds.
I love these quiet hours so much and cherish every one
store memories up inside my heart for lonely nights to come.
All too soon he'll be grown up, his need for Mommy gone
but until then I still have time for kisses and for song.
Time for quiet hours like this with him cuddled in my arms
where I wish he'd always stay protected safe and warm.
And yet I know the day will come when his tiny little hand
will be much bigger than my own he'll grow to be a man.
But until then he's mine to love with no one here to see
as we rock slowly back and forth My Baby Boy and Me.

Update from yesterday's appointment

Dr. V had to deliver a baby (or actually, I think it was twins) so we saw Dr. Beth. She was nice...you could tell she was kinda in a hurry. She said the pain I am having is normal, and verified that they are both still boys. She said I am measuring a month ahead still on the belly, at 26 weeks, which is totally normal. I also gained 4 lbs, up 17 total from my pre-pregnancy weight, which I think is good. My hunger has definitely kicked up some. Dr V said she'd like to see me gain 40, so I am even behind for that. I don't know...the food fest might be coming soon!

And in other good news, they finally got a cot for me at school. It is now residing in the teacher's lounge so "everyone can share it," (I'm the only one right now who needs off my feet, but there are 3 other PG teachers due within a month of me) and while not my favorite local, (Brownies have their meetings in there, I'm going to have to disinfect it) it'll do pig, it'll do.

Bedding

I have totally fallen in love with this bedding...

Sorry the pics took so long to post, the new blogger version wasn't cooperating...

Crib #2 is here!

Our second crib came in today! We haven't been able to put the first together, since we are still waiting on the replacement part from childcraft, but hopefully this one will go right together.
