David just re-grouted our tub, and fixed a light switch with a short.

He says he is vying for husband of the year.

Progress in nursery today

We finished painting the crown molding and the baseboards. I finished the 2nd coat on the bookshelf.

To do:
3rd coat on bookshelf
Move things we bought and don't need right away to attic
Extra bar in closet
Shelving for open space in built in

Some of my favorite student comments:

"Will we have to deliver the babies in class?"

"What do you mean there are two in there?"

(upon seeing my "halloween costume") "Your babies dressed up for halloween!"

"Hi Mrs. Anderson" (student then pats belly) "Hi guys!"

"Will you name them after me?"

"Will you name them Zach and Cody?" (A show with twins on the Disney Channel???)

"I bet they are going to be really good musicians since they get to be in music class all day!"

And my favorite:

"Will they be nocturnal?" (He meant fraternal!)

We did so well at the twins sale!

Last night was the Columbus Mother's of Twins sale, and I thought we did really well. I was really unsure what to get, but here's what we ended up getting:

baby trend Pack n play with changing and basinnets
Fisher Price outdoor play yard. (Looks like a half bubble raised off the ground)
25-30 assorted books

One mom I met at the meeting gave me her double snap n go and 2 graco snugrides for FREE.

Another offered me her twin breastfeeding pillow to borrow until I was done. I'm going to get it in the next week or two.

I'm so excited. We spent 140. I think we did pretty well!

I forgot...

It's official, I cannot sleep on my belly any more, it hurts/is uncomfortable.

And tonight my niece, who calls me "Aunt Meg" (I love it!) Called and sang the ABC song to the babies.

I can't believe it!

I just got home from book club, which was fabulous, and D finished ALL the crown molding in the nursery! He must have worked the whole time! I couldn't believe it! He surprised me!

Soon-to-be nursery is empty!

I am so excited! We worked SUPER hard today and got the nursery room all cleaned out. We'd been working on it little by little for weeks, but today the room is totally empty except for the little bit of baby stuff we have! We mpved our computer into the blue guest bedroom, which we are jazzing up a little, and the cable guys came yesterday and moved all the computer sutff and re-hooked it back up! I'm behind on e-mails, but very excited.

We also did a ton of house cleaning tonight. We didn't go out, except to the grocery, and relaxed the first half of the afternoon, and cleaned into the evening. Overall, this was a HIGHLY productive 3 day weekend. I just wish I had more...

We went to the 100th annual Circleville Pumpkin show last night. It was really fun and there was a TON of good food. I bought a white pumpkin and a squash. Erin went with us b/c Josh is on a trip with his dad.

Next up: organizing the linen closet, the walk in closet in the blue bedroom, and the garage. Finishing up in the yard. Eventually staining the deck and fixing the fence and gate.

And working on the nursery.

Doctor's Appointment not so good

Our Doctor appointment last Thursday was not the best. We had another Dr. because ours was on vacation. From walking in the waiting room door to leaving it, we were there about 15 minutes, and we waitied 5 minutes to check in. She didn't print ultrasound pictures, and we only really got a good view of one of the twins. The doctor said she saw the heartbeat of the other. Then she did the doppler and finally we only heard one heartbeat at 157 BPM. She couldn't answer any questions, and we felt really hurried. Hopefully our next appointment on November 7th will be better. We were both let down.

The exciting thing was that I got to do a tummy ultrasound for the first time!

I have a poison-ivy-family rash on my arms and I am pretty miserable with the itching. It's been waking me up and it seems to be unbearable in the evenings.

David did TONS fo work around the house. He's halfway done with the crown molding in the nursery, he replaced the bathroom sink faucet with a new one I picked out, he took a tree limb down with my stepdad, has been on top of the leaves, and is re-staining our deck this week. (He cleaned it on Saturday! Whew!

Thankfully, this is a four day week for me at school. I've been feeling more tired in the afternoons.

Other than that I am feeling pretty good. My back pain has gone down and I swear I am starting to feel the tots move. It feels like little pings, or popcorn popping. During the ultrasound, the one twin we did see was practically doing somersaults.
