Busy weekend!

We have been working like crazy in our yard this weekend! It looks fabulous! I am hosting e's baby shower and so I want everything to look great. We've been to tons of garage sales and have lots of fun stuff for the boys including 2 outdoor playsets.

I'll post lots of pics later today. It's so nice to finally be feeling better! Summy's cutting tooth #8 and Jack tooth #7.

Hell and Back

Little did I know when I posted my chipper, 15 month old post that we would be in for the ride of our life! Thursday Jack had thrown up at the sitter's but I didn't think much of it. Thursday night the nightmare began and Sumner started throwing up every 5-10 minutes from 10 pm till 3 am. It was horrible. I started throwing up around 7:30 am Friday, David around noon, and Jack again Sat. evening. Sumner again Sunday afternoon. You get the picture.

They clearly aren't better but a doctor's appointment today confirmed they've lost about 1/2 lb each and they don't have fevers or ear infections, which is good. So we wait for them to feel better. Tomorrow they go back to the sitter's, and we all pray they start to get well. It is SO hard hearing my babies cry and knowing there is nothing I can do for them!

Not only that, but I should add my husband, who I love, is driving me nuts. Days of being cooped up together and sick, and listening to the boys screaming has weared our nerves down raw. I am so hoping this cloud lifts soon!

15 months old today!

The boys are 15 months old today. Yesterday's appointment went well and while they both lost a few ounces, pedi attributed it to the different scale. I'll post pics and elaborate more tomorrow, I promise. I am SO tired!

1 class down, 4 to go!

Takin' Off!

The boys really seem to be taking off, especially Summy. So much has happened in the last week!

-Summy got tooth number 7...he now has more than Jack, which is amazing because Jack started getting teeth at something crazy like 8 or 9 months, and Summy not until 13 months!

-Summy's cruising!

-Summy has started talking more, and is more adventurous! He's tried diving off a few things like the changing table. Today he told my mom to "stop!"

-Summy now says: mama, dada, jack (sounds like dack) uh oh, shakes his head no, and today he said "stop." Once I heard him say "bye bye."

-Jack took his first step in the crib yesterday. It was only one, but I was so glad to be able to see it.

-Jack can now climb up onto the couch...watch out everyone!

-Jack can say: mama, dada, shake his head no, uh oh, bye bye, and we've heard something that sounds like kitty. He also says "eye" and "ay" (like hey) and we don't know what they mean yet.

This weekend we had so much fun! We went garage salein' on Sat with Aunt E and Uncle J and got lots of great stuff. A 1.50 weeble wobble house has been the hit of the century with the boys. David got an xbox (as one woman selling said (a mother of twins) oh gee, exactly what you need with 15m old twins at home! LOL!)

We went out for mother's day with e and j on Sat night and today we went to Genji with my mom and sister and assorted family. They boys got me cards, D got me flowers, and a sewing machine...I plan to start making the boys clothes as soon as school gets out.

It was a wonderful weekend! Our 15 month checkup is on Wednesday.

I must be crazy!

I have decided to go ahead and try to advance a step up the salary scale at work before our new negotiated contract goes into effect June 30th. This means I plan to take 15 semester hours of Master's level classes in the next 7 weeks. I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew, but it might mean I am slightly MIA for a while. We'll see...

I'm posting the pic of the first time Summy pulled up a week ago. He did it quite a bit Thursday and Friday and a few times here and there this weekend. It's definite progress!

Two moments of hilarity from this weekend:

Sumner ambushed Bode, our giant, fluffy cat and jumped on top of him, grabbing fistfuls of fur. He rubbed his face all over him and made his "happy" sound. Bode stayed right there and was so patient! It was hilarious!

Jack learned on Saturday how to get up onto the couch, and so he really was trying to climb into our chair and a half. It involved him screaming and clawing, standing on his tiptoes trying to get up. He is a character!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. It's only something like 23 more days of school for me, but who is counting?
