Felt first kick!

Yesterday I felt the first kick from the outside! Still trying to get David's hand there fast enough to feel it too!

We are having severe crib dysfunction right now. We got one of the two, the other was supposed to be here either today or tomorrow, but could take up to 11 weeks. we made them put in writing that if it didn't, we could return the other one all put together.

The one we do have, the parts aren't fitting together...

*sigh*

Our level 2 u/s says...

2 boys!

It's taking a little getting used to. I think we had both convinced ourselves baby B was a girl. It's starting to sink in. The ultrasound was so cool...they measured everything from the chambers of the heart, to the cerebellum, to the head circumference...you could see every little bone and part! They are both right on...one due 4/8 the other 4/9. Both weighed 13 oz.

We had trouble with scanning the u/s pictures, and we are hoping to do it today. We should have them up soon.

We're thinking about going to IKEA this weekend to shop!

At the next u/s I put in a request for a 3D/4D room....the pictures will be amazing if we end up getting the room!

18w 2d ultrasound

Here is is! The second picture shows the head of one twin, and the "tidy bowl" shot (As Dr. V called it) of the butt, legs, and family jewels, showing it is a boy. The other tot had the umbilical cord between its legs, so we couldn't see anything...

I got the flu shot. Our next appointment is the level 2 ultrasound on Nov 22nd, and we are hoping to see the gender of the other tot.

Updates to nursery

This weekend we added:

-cubes to built-ins
-a few "boxes" to go in the cubes
-moved in changing table
-finished painting bookshelf
-david installed a second bar in the closet

David also made a workbench for the garage for all his tools, and to help get us more organized.

We looked at cribs today and this one is pretty high in the running:

We found it for 199 at Baby Depot, which we think is a good price, plus it is convertible. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a drop side. The brand was rated tops by the baby bargains and consumer reports experts. We found a bed I liked the styling on better at BRU, but it's 100 more, and was rated poorly. We're still trying to decide...
